Star 107 DJ Takes to the Air !
Cambridge and Ely`s Star 107 radio presenter Mark Peters took to the air courtesy of Mid-Anglia School of Flying.
The presenter was invited to the school to carry out his very first flying lesson as part of an advertising campaign in which
Mid-Anglia School of Flying offered a free lesson as a prize in a competition featured on the station.
Instructor Richard Martin took Mark on a 45 minute flight over Cambridge and Ely during which the DJ took a photograph of Ely cathedral which was then used on the radio stations website as part of the competition.
During the flight, the intercom and radio chat was recorded and was subsequently used as part of the broadcast. Listeners could hear the take off which was aired several times during the drive time radio show. The sound file could also be heard on the Star 107 website, providing the Flying School with some valuable advertising coverage.
