Dave Rogers Letter from America

Greetings Trev and Hils and the MASF Gang!

I hope all is well for you. Hope lots of grand flying is happening.

I went flying yesterday with my daughter here in North Carolina. We had a wonderful time. The weather happened to be beautiful. It caused me to think back on my time flying there in England. What huge fun it was (though not always beautiful weather). I just wanted to thank you again for all the great instruction and exposure to the East Anglian countryside.

I think I mentioned I finally got my FAA stand alone PPL. I stumbled a bit on some of the airspace questions on the oral practical evaluation (many differences USA to UK) but thoroughly bored my FAA examiner with my flying skills (test usually involves around 2 hours flying, he had me land at 51 minutes cause he`d seen enough and said i was good to go - I credit MASF with the success).
